Beautiful inlaid bone bead wrist mala! These bone beads are inlaid with turquoise and coral, and copper and white metal for a unique, traditional look.
The traditional bone beads are hand inlaid with copper and white metal, and turquoise and coral. Each bead is entirely unique, but has gone through some wear and tear during the storage and shipping process from Nepal. Nevertheless, these bone beads and their flaws allow us to further reflect upon the Buddhist teachings of impermanence. They serve as a reminder to live in the present moment; because nothing is permanent, everything is possible.
Tibetan nomadic life is hard, and in the cold there is little to eat. Water buffalo is a main staple in Nepal and Tibet and when an animal is used for food nothing is wasted. These amazing beads are hand inlaid by artisans who recycle and reuse everything in daily life and spiritual practice.
